CANASTA GROUPS

Canasta is a partnership game of the Rummy family, and appeals to card players of all skill levels. The game is fast and full of exciting twists and challenges, which has created one of the most fascinating card games ever devised. Canasta may be played by any number of players from two to six.

We meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursday afternoons in the month in the Schoolroom / Small Hall at the Catholic Church, from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm. We have a mixture of experienced and beginner players. , and all members share their expertise to help those who need a 'brush up' after not playing for a long while or who want to learn how to play. We have enough tables and space for at least another 8 or so new members so, if you play Canasta or would like to learn come along to join us, even if you have never played this card game before. We usually play in pairs, (randomly picked by choosing a card), but there is always someone more experienced to help if you are new to the game.
