This group has been setup to help people get back to their roots. We have a mix of experienced researchers and complete beginners. We're all here to help each other and collectively push our family trees back as far as we can. Beginners are always welcome and there'll always someone happy to get you started.
The focus is very much on using computers / tablets to research historical records. In particular we will focus on the use of free-of-charge resources so there will be no need for expensive subscriptions to family history websites - unless you want to of course!
We will hold a monthly "anchor" meeting on the first Friday of every month upstairs at Cheddar Library. We may hold the meeting more frequently, either at the library elsewhere. We may also hold ad-hoc / pop-up meetings to cover special topics or to give each other more personal one-to-one help.
We have a resource page for members and anyone else who may be interested.
